2004 International Eco-Code Poster Competition

Foundation for Environmental Education

The Eco-Schools programme celebrates its tenth year anniversary in 2004, organising the first Eco-Code Poster International Competition, open to all Eco-Schools worldwide. Consisting of two rounds - a national and an international contest, in two age categories (children, from 6 to 12, and youth, from 13 to 18). The two selected winners at national level (one from each age category) compete in the international finals.

The 'Eco-code' is the school statement of values and objectives that outlines what students are striving to achieve, and represents one of the basic 7 steps towards the implementation of the programme.

All of the posters have been reproduced in postcard packs which have been distributed in all the participating countries. The two first place posters will also be reproduced into full-sized posters. The three top posters for each category will receive prizes including electronic multimedia equipment and gift vouchers for books and resources produced by UNEP. The prizes will be awarded at an international Eco-Schools conference to be organised in 2005.
